summary

After the successful tender win, we were obliged to deliver a cost-effective and bug-free solution for our client from Poland. The application was supposed to use currently available technology to teach children the English language. Kinect was a perfect candidate for encouraging children to learn English simultaneously playing different video games. The platform allowed for up to 4 players to participate at the same time. Each game was narrated by a native speaker and managed by a teacher that oversaw the children.

about the company

Our client started a tender based on the idea of encouraging children from Poland to learn foreign languages in an innovative and modern way. The whole project was backed with European Union funds and was part of the EU program.

aim & challenge

The idea was to deliver an end-to-end application where we solely developed all the designs, mechanics, and gameplay. Even though the functionalities by definition were simple, we needed to create a game platform that would be easy to use for the teachers and fun for the youngest ones. Connecting backend development with prepared designs and recorded audio from a native speaker required an agile approach and readiness for a quick change.
